Founding our accounting firm back in 2011 meant we could do work that we love. It also allowed us to follow our greatest passion – helping businesses.

When meeting and working with our clients, we often chat about goals, strategy and structure. Part of that conversation always relates to the foundation and roots of our clients businesses.

So, today we wanted to take the opportunity to share our story and why we founded Eventum Consulting.

Why share our story?

We find that sharing such stories with team members and clients helps the overall company’s long and short-term strategies.

After all, understanding common goals and working towards them produces the best results.

As we mentioned, our company was founded in 2011, when we felt and saw the emergence of online accounting.

As our team are all from an accounting background, we were excited about the opportunity.

A digital transformation for businesses when it comes to accounting can include many parts.

To be a company that can help our clients use systems that will save them time and money strongly aligned with our goals.

As a company using some of the most advanced accounting software and solutions, we knew our task with our clients would not always be easy.

Our goal was and still is to ensure our clients business is in the best position it could be in.

That said, having companies integrate from their old ways of operations to the new ways is not a simple task.

It does however help that all the tools and platforms we recommend for our clients are ones we also use for our business and day-today operations.

Today, we find that our biggest strength is the experience and the knowledge. We are able to combine our expertise in numbers with technology.

As technology is always fast developing and changing, our goal is to stay in-front. But that is not enough. We want to help our clients achieve their best results too.

The Impact of COVID-19

When COVID-19 began, companies and businesses were forced to quickly adapt. This included focusing on new technologies and integrating new systems into their business. Making sure they are able to remain relevant and sustainable.

In many minds, video conferencing and cloud software were all tools that in normal circumstances may have taken for some companies another 5-10 years to be adopted.

The impact of COVID resulted in a much faster transition and tool adoption. Many companies were forced to adapt or risk becoming irrelevant.

But now that some of those platforms were adopted it is a lot easier for companies to see the benefits of such tools. Not only that, but businesses are also more open to researching and understanding what else is out there.

And even though adopting new platforms and tools may at times require a change in the business’s day to day operations, the long-term benefit is worth it.
